Sheep are baaaaad!!!!!!!

Hello Again,
Our little newsletter is growing so fast!  There are now over 150 subscribers.  It's great to know so many are interested in our farm.  Thanks everyone for reading!

Earth Mother Market is this afternoon from 3-7 in Ft. Thomas.  I'm going to be there along with all the other brave vendors sweating it out in this unbelievable heat.  If you don't see me it's because I've crawled inside the freezer with the chicken.  I hope you can come out and join us.  The musicians will be with us again as long as they can handle the oven so it will still be an enjoyable time.

A quick reminder to any of you interested in being included in the next chick order.  The deadline is tonight at midnight to get your order to me.  See the last newsletter (which is also on the blog on the website) for details.

Finally, why I titled the newsletter the way I did.  I was in the house this morning when I heard some banging outside.  I didn't pay attention at first because the chickens often knock stuff around in the garage but it started to sound like a car door.  I went to the door and looked out to see my big Shetland ram butting the side of my car in the driveway because he can see his reflection in the paint!  Don't even ask why he was out, that is an ongoing saga.  Thank goodness for Saturn's dent resistant panels or it would be much worse.  As it is, I now know why they are called dent resistant instead of dent proof.  Another source of aggravation this morning was discovering that another raccoon has moved in and ate our favorite pet chicken, Pippy, during the night.  I had a long talk this morning with our supposed livestock guardian dog, Rolo, about his duties on the farm.

We now have lamb for sale as a special order.  Please respond to this email if you would like more information on the lamb.  It is absolutely delicious.  Not too strong and melt in your mouth tender.

Stay cool and safe,
Heather Redden
