The produce

Brandon is the plant guy on our farm.  I've always been far more interested in the animals.  It makes for a good partnership.  There isn't a lot to say about our produce philosophy.  It's pretty simple.  We only grow what we love to eat, we never use synthetic pesticides or fertilizers ever, and we grow heirlooms.  Brandon loves to experiment and works on saving seed from our garden so that we can perpetuate varieties that are well adapted to our growing climate.  He uses compost and manure for fertilizer along with cover crops.  He still does some tilling but we've been working on getting away from it.  We have worked on establishing many perrenial food crops on our farm including asparagus, various berries, and hazelnuts.
